About the Directory

Edward Leigh, MA, created the Cancer Resources Directory™ to help people struggling with cancer find organizations to offer guidance and emotional support.

Edward Leigh has been a healthcare professional since 1989, however in 1999, the tables were turned on him when he became a patient. He was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer. He is well today. He joined several organizations at the time of his diagnosis. He believes these organizations provided him with vital information and the psychological support to cope with the cancer experience.

Since his cancer diagnosis, he has the opportunity to appear on hundreds of TV shows, including many national shows (e.g., The Today Show, Montel Williams Show, The Discovery Health Channel Show, Mystery Diagnosis). Over the years, thousands of viewers have contacted him. They are all looking for one thing -- resources. He began to develop lists of organizations. The organizations he provided to people proved to be very important, connecting people to organizations that helped them both medically & psychologically. The size of the organizational list continued to grow and he began categorizing the groups. He decided it is time put all the resources together, thus the Cancer Resources Directory™ was born.
